A note from Jim and Alison...
What a lovely 2022 we've had. It's been so nice to sit out front on our newly refurbished patio and soak up some sun. The beaches have been busy with holidaymakers, reminiscent of days gone by. It's so lovely to see Filey thriving. As busy as it's been, the evenings see the crowds disperse, lovely for sauntering and enjoying the sunset.
With Christmas and the shortest day now behind us, we're enjoying walking out of an evening under the gorgeous lighting in (the award winning) Crescent Gardens and back along the promenade. All wrapped up for a stroll, with a nice sea breeze to blow away the cobwebs of the day. The sea puts on some wonderful sound and spray effects on occasion just for us, or so it seems.
This year Filey has hosted food and music festivals. We had a kite festival, a rally, celebrated Guy Fawkes night and so much more. Our neighbouring Scarborough and Bridlington hosted some major acts with West Life, Simply Red, Tom Jones, Rag and Bone man and Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott, to name those I recall. We are in fact just looking at Bridlington and Scarborough venues now to plan our next years outings.
As 2022 draws to a close, we'd like to say a big thank you to all our guests for making each day extra special. It's lovely to hear the happy chatter between guests over breakfast. We've loved sharing our beautiful home with you all.
Thank you all for your continued custom, we've so many guests coming back, it's really special that you love the place as much as we do. To those that came to recharge, we send our very best wishes and hope to see you back real soon.
To the rest of you, thanks again for choosing the White Rose for you stay in Filey and finally... a huge thank you to everyone for their amazing reviews. We only spotted some of them the other day. There are far too many to answer individually. We really appreciate that you took the time to do that.
