By staying at White Rose Guest House you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
Cancellation This is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances. If you cancel a booking less than 14 days before arrival, fail to arrive, or leave before the original departure date we reserve the right to claim the total booking cost - even if we have not yet received your balance.
We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
Children and Pets We are an adult only establishment.
We cannot facilitate pets
Availability of Accommodation We reserve the right to cancel and/or amend bookings due to unforeseen circumstances. In such instances we will attempt to offer alternative accommodation. If not possible we will refund any sum paid. Our liability does not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival Your accommodation is available between 14:00 and 17:00 on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We reserve the right to re-let the room if we have not been previously notified of your late arrival by 17:00. Baggage drop-off is by prior arrangement only, in the case of early arrival to Filey. If you are having bags delivered make sure we are aware. If your bags arrive when we are not at the premises and you have failed to notify us, you may incur additional charges from your courier.
Late arrival procedure Please ensure you contact us no later than the night before, to let us know if you will be arriving late. Failure to notify us may result in the room being re-let or the full cost of the room being charged.
Departure You agree to vacate the accommodation by 10:00 on the day of departure unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon.
Breakfast - allergens You should be aware that while we take every care to avoid any cross contamination of potential food allergens, we have a small domestic kitchen and there remains a possibility of trace elements being transferred. In knowledge of this, if you would like to breakfast with us, please speak to us prior to arrival. Alternatively, our room rates include an option for room only.
Damages and Breakages You are responsible and liable for any damage caused to the accommodation or its contents. Damages must be reported immediately and are chargeable to the card used upon booking.
If we are unable to re-let the room, all associated costs, including loss of revenue, will be charged. Where multiple rooms are reserved, the lead contact will assume responsibility for the group's accommodation. Note: by providing your credit/debit card details, you are agreeing to provide a security deposit for the room(s) and all costs for damages will be charged to your nominated card. A detailed invoice outlining the costs will be sent to your address. (photographic evidence will be taken in case of any dispute)
Behaviour Please consider other paying guests. Persistent and excessive noise or disturbance, that affects other guests, will not be tolerated and may lead to immediate expulsion without recourse. Any rights to a refund are relinquished and the full balance of the contract will be charged.
Smoking and food White Rose Guest House is a no smoking establishment and no food from external sources is allowed in the guest bedrooms. Failure to abide by this will incur a cleaning charge of £30 which will be applied to your nominated credit/debit card.
Parking - is available at the rear of the premises. Some of the area is grassed with a mesh top layer which can become slippery when wet; please be cautious when walking on this area in damp conditions. We accept no responsibility for accidents, damage or loss whilst using this area. Vehicles are parked at the owner's risk. Please be considerate to others by parking in a safe and considerate manner allowing others access and egress from the area. Additional free parking is often available on the road side at the front of the premises, where there are no restrictions.
Liability We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Addition to our terms - COVID-19 Changes regarding our Force Majeure policy on guest cancellations that are due to government travel restrictions triggered by the COVID-19 outbreak.
By now, we can expect that our customers are aware of the risk of further COVID-19 spread, and as such the risk they are taking when making new reservations.
Therefore for all new reservations made as of 6 April 2020, we will no longer apply Force Majeure conditions for guests seeking to cancel or modify their booking due to the current COVID-19 outbreak. These reservations will be treated like any standard booking, according to our policies and procedures.
